In June 2025, we launched the "MOVING FAR" project, aimed at improving maternal and neonatal survival in the Masindi District of Uganda. This ambitious initiative will lead to the creation of a Center for Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care (CEmONC) at the Missionary Sister of Mary Mother of the Church (MSMMC) Health Center in Kyatiri, with the goal of transforming it from a Level III to a Level IV Health Center.

The project is financed with funds from the Catholic Church, which allocates part of the 8×1000 of the total IRPEF (personal income tax) revenue tocharitable interventions for the development of peoples, and is carried out by P.A.C.E. OdV in collaboration with the Missionary Sisters of Mary Mother of the Church and the local community of Kyatiri.

Looking ahead
As work progresses, we are preparing to create the new operating environment: a functioning healthcare facility, equipped with qualified personnel and tools suited to the needs of the population.
The new Health Center will radically change maternal and child care thanks to:
- Diagnostic tools such as radiology and ultrasound
- Operating rooms for surgical assistance during childbirth
- Area dedicated to neonatal support
In collaboration with local missionary nuns, P.A.C.E. has already begun recruiting and training medical and obstetric personnel, as well as updating the skills of current staff.
Thank you all, equally.
Every contribution—big or small—is essential. From those who donated the ultrasound machine, to those who facilitated logistics, to the supporters who accompany us every day.
💛 We rely on the generous support of members, volunteers, and friends to bring the MOVING FAR project to life.
